Steven Tyler announced today that he is leaving the judging table on American Idol to pursue his first love- his music with Aerosmith. I mean, I feel that the judges have been playing musical chairs for the past few years, so this really isn't shocking. However, what I most enjoyed about this news is his statement! I LOVE Steven Tyler- he's wild and crazy but still stays likeable, unlike some of his peers. His statement is authentic and true to his personality, with a nod to modern slang. I think this is an excellent example of a "breaking news" statement and shows that even though he is out of Idol, Steven Tyler will always be here to stay. In his cheetah-print pants.
